The Vortec 6.0L V8 (standard on the 2500 series) produces 352 hp to give the Suburban massive towing capability with the standard 6-speed automatic transmission. Or choose the Vortec 6.0L V8 with Active Fuel Management (standard on select half-ton models) which uses four or eight cylinders as conditions warrant – while still able to produce an amazing peak 366 hp.
