Beautifully styled and elegantly equipped, the 2008 Chevy Tahoe is made to order for serious boating enthusiasts – while providing all the comfort, performance and economy you desire. With its strong, distinctive design, 108.9 cubic feet of storage volume1, and the latest available exterior features such as power side steps and power-folding exterior rearview mirrors, the Tahoe combines an uncommon blend of versatility, function and style.
Tahoe likewise features an impressively comfortable interior that adds smiles as the miles go by. With its available third-row seat, it can accommodate up to nine passengers on LS models, while features like tri-zone automatic temperature control, a BOSE® sound system, and a rear DVD system with wireless infrared headphones further enhance the traveling experience.
The power-release fold-and-tumble second-row seats are a GM segment-exclusive feature for Tahoe2. With the push of a button, the second-row seats individually fold and tumble forward to allow convenient access to the stadium-style third-row bench seat.
Protecting passengers is a Tahoe priority with a sophisticated portfolio of safety technologies. The story begins with a galvanized-steel safety cage and continues with standard head-curtain side airbags in all rows, StabiliTrak® electronic stability control system with Proactive Roll Avoidance and an available Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist. Tahoe even received the highest possible five-star front- and side-impact crash safety ratings in recent government testing3. Inside you’ll find standard OnStar© with available Directions & Connections Plan that features Turn-by-Turn Navigation4, which dramatically improves the ease of safely finding your way to your own personal “Lost Lake.”
Naturally, Tahoe knows its business when it comes to boating, with a maximum 8,200-pound towing capacity and an available rearview camera system5 that simplifies trailer coupling. Available in both two- and four-wheel drive models, Tahoe can handle steep ramps, sand, and muck with ease. Standard features like all-speed traction control provide confidence and power on the road.
Capable and conscientious, the Tahoe offers available engines that are E85 FlexFuel capable, which means they can run on gasoline or ethanol. And most 2008 Tahoe engines have Active Fuel Management, which means they only use the cylinders required to do the job. The Tahoe can also be equipped with a Hybrid Propulsion System6 which provides the power and capability you’d expect from a utility vehicle, while delivering fuel efficiency you’d never imagine. When you pair the two-mode technology with the Active Fuel Management system, the Tahoe Hybrid offers up to 50% better city fuel economy than the non-hybrid Tahoe7. Now that’s a green towing machine.
